The J&B™ Met is a 'No under 18's' event therefore children will not be allowed to enter.
Medical personnel and vehicles will be at the event to deal with any medical emergency. If you need medical assistance contact the J&B™ Met Venue Operations Centre - number to be provided soonest.
Please do not bring any alcohol with you to the J&B™ Met as your alcohol will be confiscated at the entrances. You can purchase alcohol at the J&B™ Met, but please drink responsibly. How about appointing a designated driver who sips on non-alcoholic beverages all day, or calling on a taxi/shuttle service instead? Please note that the SAPS will enforce a zero tolerance attitude towards misbehaviour due to excessive drinking.
ATMs will be in operation at various locations across Kenilworth. Look out for the green flags which are near to the ATMs. Look out for tote counters offering "mini-Bob" ATMs where you can draw cash using only your debit card.
The Grass Racetrack is strictly out of bounds at all times except between races at which times the track crossings provided must be used.
The Parade Ring is strictly out of bounds except for officials, owners and trainers of runners in the race about to be run or that has just run; jockeys and connections. Specific accreditation will be issued to people who are allowed access into the Parade Ring.
Tote facilities are available for you to take bets on your favourite horses. Betting is easier than you think. Ask for a betting guide and assistance at any tote counter or at any of the six information kiosks. If you have any betting queries contact the betting line 021 700 1621.
Please do not make any fires whether to start a braai or just in general. There are plenty of food options available - so let someone else do the cooking.
Large events may sometimes attract a criminal element that prey on people who are enjoying the experience of being at the event without worrying about their personal belongings. Please be sure your personal items are secure, out of sight and in your possession at all times, and make sure your friends are aware of where their valuables are too. We cannot accept responsibility for any of your valuables going missing - so please be extra vigilant. If you are the victim of a theft or a crime please report the incident to SAPS at the Venue Operations Centre - number to be provided shortly.

The attendee assumes all risk and danger incidental to the attendance of this event. The attendee releases the 2015 J&B Met sponsors, the Event Owner, The City of Cape Town, Worldsport and Chattels, and all directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives and/or other volunteers thereof from any and all liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising out of/or relating to attendance of this event. In terms of the Financial Intelligence Act (No. 38 of 2001), any person depositing, betting or collecting R25 000 or more must provide their full name, proof of identity and contact details.

All gates open at 10:00 am and close at 22:00.
There are four main gates which provide entry to Kenilworth Racecourse:-

Rosmead Ave - Gate 6
Use this gate if you arrive at Kenilworth by taxi or you are dropped off. Gate 6 is a pedestrian only gate.

Wetton Road
This is the main entrance to the event. Shuttle buses will drop you close to this gate if you park at Youngsfield, Chukker Road and Wynberg Sports.

Pick 'n Pay Entrance Gate
This gate is a restricted access gate and is only to be used by people with the correct accreditation.

Wynberg Sports Club
If you are a Kenilworth Racing member or of any of the other Track Side Lounges, you can use the Wynberg Sports Club to park. The entrance is off Wetton Road. You can only use this gate if you have the correct accreditation. Shuttles will be provided.

Public Parking is available at Youngsfield Military Base - and shuttle buses will run from Youngsfield to Kenilworth and back from 10:00 in the morning until midnight. Parking costs R60 per car and is paid on entry to the parking or you can buy a parking ticket online at www.computicket.com when you purchase your general admission tickets.

Please don't park in the residential areas around Kenilworth Racecourse - you may have your car impounded if you obstruct access to residents' driveways.

If you are a J&B™ Met Hospitality Guest you can park in the Chukker Road parking and you will have access to shuttle buses throughout the day.

Kenilworth Racing members and Track Side Lounge guests will park at the Wynberg Sports Club. Your parking accreditation will detail where you park. Remember that shuttle buses stop running at about 12:30 - 01:00 am, so please make sure you catch a shuttle back to your car in time - otherwise it's a long walk.

Please ensure that you do not leave any valuables in your car. Although all official parking areas have security, no responsibility is accepted for the loss of any items - please see the DISCLAIMER.
The middle of Kenilworth Racecourse is an extremely valuable and sensitive protected area. The 48 hectare pocket of land is one of the last remaining tracts of white sand fynbos. Plants and animals are found here that are found nowhere else on Earth! So help protect this valuable area. To find out more contact the Kenilworth Racecourse Conservation Area on www.krca.co.za or info@krca.co.za. Because this area is so sensitive and valuable, you may not walk around in the conservation area - please stay out.
A wide range of food will be on sale at the J&B Met - there's something to suit every taste. All food suppliers comply with Health Department requirements. And there's a range of food at different prices too.
Please leave your pop-up Gazebos at home - you will not be allowed to set up any gazebos as these structures interfere with other patrons.
No glass bottles are allowed in the public areas - so all your drinks will be decanted into cups. Please make sure you dispose of glass bottles you may have in your possession in the bins provided.

Recognised forms of Identification are a driver's licence and an RSA identity document or passport. You will need to prove your identity if you play or are paid out winnings in excess of R25 000. You may be required to prove your age before you will be allowed into the event.
SAPS and security company staff have been deployed to keep you safe and to make sure the only thing you might lose at the races is a bet. All security staff will be wearing uniforms. If you are in need of assistance from security or SAPS call the Venue Operation Centre- number will be advised soonest.
It happens; we all lose things at events like the J&B Met. A Lost Property service is set up to help you get your lost items back. If you find something that has obviously been lost, please help out and hand in the item at the Venue Operations Centre. You can also call the Venue Operations Centre - number will be advised soonest, to report anything you have lost or something you have found.
Pets like dogs and cats will not be allowed to come to the races. There are too many people to allow four legged animals to join in the fun, so please leave your animals at home. Guide dogs will be permitted by prior arrangement - to arrange guide dog access please contact Lauren Bright on 021 426 5775
To protect the rights of our sponsors, only official sponsors' promotional material / clothing can be worn or displayed in any way. This includes handouts of any kind. If you promote products or brands that are not officially associated with the event you will be removed from Kenilworth Racecourse.
Toilets are placed in "toilet parks" and each park has a designated team who is responsible for keeping the toilets as clean and user friendly as possible.
People who do not comply with these rules or behaviour in any manner considered socially unacceptable will be EVICTED by Kenilworth Racing and NO refunds or compensation for damages will be given to any such person.
Please leave all weapons at home in a locked safe. Do not bring weapons of any kind to the event. Weapons include hand guns, knives, batons, rifles, any devices that can injure/harm/hurt/kill other people or yourself.
